Townsville Fire- WNBL - Season Starter
OmniTitan had the pleasure to start the season for James Cook University’s Townsville Fire Women's National Basketball League. Townsville Fire smashed it with a 70 - 59 in their first game. The games were hosted in Townsville’s own Entertainment Center which has a capacity of 5,257. The season started out with two games in 2021, our latest being on New Years Eve. OmniTitan oversaw the in-house content playback and video capture throughout the whole event. The content was supplied by Townsville Fire Production. We are given Sponsors and overlays to display at certain times throughout the event and would mix that alongside with the cameras we had. We had a 3 camera system with one center camera for our main wide angle, and two corner cameras closer to the court. One of the court cameras was a hybrid tripod/wireless camera. This allowed for some Pre-Show, Quarter times, Post Show capture — following any hosts around the court for entertainment. OmniTitan also worked alongside with a few other production companies and training institutions.
We partnered up with Townsville Creative Technology College (TCTC) during the WNBL season. They supplied some of the mixing equipment for the show, as well as giving an opportunity to some students to gain experience at operating professional grade cameras. We had two static cameras and one wireless moving camera, two of which were operated by TCTC Students.
Overall the event was a success.
