RDSSRL Rugby Final - Rockhampton

In September 2024, our team had the incredible opportunity to cover the RDSSRL Rugby Finals in Rockhampton. For four days, we dedicated ourselves to bringing the excitement of this event to viewers at home, ensuring they felt every thrilling moment as if they were right on the field.

Over the course of three action-packed days, we captured the intensity and emotion of the games, delivering an unforgettable viewing experience to rugby fans everywhere.

Our team utilized two camera operators positioned on an elevated platform to provide steady, high-quality static shots, offering viewers clear and comprehensive coverage of the field. To complement these shots, we deployed a roaming camera operator, capturing dynamic, close-up moments that brought the raw emotion of the game closer to our audience.

Our vision switcher worked from the streaming vehicle, combining the different camera feeds in real time to create the final product. The vision switcher plays a vital role in ensuring a smooth broadcast by selecting and transitioning between feeds as the action unfolds.

In addition to our video production setup, we also provided equipment for two commentators, who added depth and insight to the live stream, enhancing the viewing experience for our audience.
